From cosy to glamorous: Deluxe floor made of Walnut or Cherry
Refine your home
Deluxe floorboards “Chateau by Adler“ – this name stands for exquisite quality parquets. We use exclusively select timber from the best North American forestry regions for our Walnut or Cherry Deluxe floorboards.
Finely textures Walnut floorboards will lend the floor a very elegant appearance. The colours will range from medium to dark brownish black. Lighter coloured sapwood and occasionally occurring knots lend every floorboard a unique character.
The very finely textured Cherry floorboards will likewise create a highly elegant ambiance. Every floorboard will appear to be creating a unique work of art with its few, yet distinctive knots, the sapwood and the black inclusions. The Cherry parquet is highly adaptable, despite its striking appearance: The fine reddish colour of the Black Cherry wood will create exciting contrasts with modern interiors. Its warm colour nuances will, however, also harmonise with a cosy home.

Our Deluxe floorboards made from these noble hardwoods have a 4.5 mm sawcut noble top veneer and are 19 mm thick in total.
The width of the Walnut floorboards ranges from 160 to 350 mm. Availability allowing, we will on request also manufacture the floorboards in fixed widths. The floorboards are available in lengths of 1.6 m to 4.5 m and, depending on availability of the raw timber, also up to 5 m long.
Cherry wood trees are slimmer than Walnut trees. The range of widths is correspondingly more limited - from 160 mm to 240 mm for Cherry. 300 mm may be available on occasions. Lengths range from 1.6 m to 4.0 m. Depending on the availability of timber, we may also be in a position to offer fixed lengths and widths. Please approach one of our staff should you be interested.
You will normally receive all “Château by adler” parquet floorboards graded “Standard”, i.e. with knots and a small sapwood component.
The timber for the long and wide Deluxe floorboards may exhibit slight cracks as a result of shrinkage and wind stress. The large dimensions and natural shrinkage may also encourage minor surface cracks due to stress and drying.
These wide floorboards will be beneficiated with our NATURA+ surface treatment.
Wood is a natural product. Colour deviations may occur both between different product batches and within a batch, depending on the substances the wood contains and on its grain. These individual colours are distinctive and certify the authenticity of the natural timber product.
The Deluxe floorboard comprises 3 layers with 19 millimetre overall thickness. The large widths and lengths will require full spread gluing.
The thermal resistance of the multi-layered Deluxe floorboards is ca. 0.16 m²k / W (as per EN14342), thus rendering it suitable for laying on hot water underfloor heating .
Maximum surface temperatures of 26°C should not be exceeded. Please refer to our laying instructions under Downloads and information provided under “All about Parquets” for comprehensive laying guidelines on underfloor heating.
You should give your noble Ash Deluxe flooring the care it deserves to ensure that you may enjoy it for many years to come. [link to All about Parquets / Proper care with NATURA+]
Always ensure that your ambient room conditions remain healthy to ensure both your own health and that of your parquet floor. Relative humidity of ca. 50 – 60% and room temperatures between 19 and 22°C would be ideal. Your wooden floor may be damaged unless these guideline values are maintained. The danger of drying out exists especially during heating periods, potentially causing shrinkage cracks in the worst case. Normally such cracks will, however, largely close up again as the ambient room conditions improve. The glued layers may also experience shrinkage stress in the event of sudden moisture change.
We may also on your request offer you our Deluxe floorboards in Walnut and Cherry as 100% PEFC certified parquet flooring. Depending on the wood sources we also might be able to offer a FSC® certified product. Please contact us in this respect.
